Barrier-free access to the Rockharz Festival

Rockharz – the metal festival in the Harz Mountains region of Germany – is no ordinary music festival. Those who come here not only experience rock and metal music at its finest, but also values that are put into practice: sustainability, environmental awareness, regionality, and inclusion. For Rockharz inclusion officer Björn Schulz, this means: "I can celebrate with my friends and have a good time together with all disabled groups." To ensure that Rockharz is a great experience for ALL visitors, the organisers opted for the DEFENDER MIDI 5 2D modular cable protection system.

People have different needs

Anyone who only thinks of wheelchair users when it comes to accessibility overlooks the fact that many other people also have to contend with potential stumbling blocks at festivals and concerts: walking-impaired people, blind people, or people with mental impairments. At Rockharz, the Defender MIDI 5 2D cable protectors – in conjunction with the extra-wide MIDI 5 2D R wheelchair ramps – helped everyone to move around the site safely.
